"My son got this for his scout outings, and it is terrific. Small for two adults, but very well made. Packs small, weighs nothing, can be had for next to nothing ($75 in our case); least expensive of aluminum pole tents. Went on an outing with 5 other tents in the rain and his stayed driest by far. My old REI dome got shown up, for sure. Pros: super light, super cost, super packability; Cons: small for big people; so light you will feel more comfortable about tears/rips with a footprint re-enforcing the floor (although we have had no rips/tears)."

"I got this tent for $69.00 on sale and I'm glad I did. It went with me up to 11,500 ft. and weathered a HORRIFIC winter storm with snow, sleet, rain, and very high wind gusts over 50 mph. I felt like it and I would be blown away or it would tear at the seams or blow my fly right off. But much to my surprise, it weathered it beautifully, and I stayed dry but windblown. It is small for two people, so I always put most of my gear in it with only me, which I would recommend unless you really like closeness."

"Had the tent for 2 years and used it in heavy rain and snow. Just enough room for 1 and some gear.

The big flaw is that the rain fly does not cover the entire tent. If it did this tent would be a 5/5. My feet and head touch the ends where there is no fly and they wick in water. Otherwise this is a great buy."

"I really like my space. At 250 pounds and 6'4" I don't fit in many dome tents. Have happily used $11 K-mart pup-tent specials for years of backpacking just so I didn't have to share space at night. Upgrading to this tent was worth every penny. Light enough to be used as a solo. Bought two more, one for each of my sons. We've used them in Arizona thunderstorms without leaks. Everyone else's tents leaked, broke or collapsed. No problems with our tents. Easy to set up. We did buy the Kelty footprint to use as a ground cloth. Don't know how they do in cold weather."

"Like others have said, I hate that the fly does not go to the ground however it is a very light tent to pack and is great for one man w/room to spare. You can have two but make sure you are both small (5'11" or less) and don't mind touching. In winter it would be ideal due to body heat.

Get the footprint!"
