"Simple to use and reliable. Our Scout Troop has 3 which have served us well. Heavy and lacking a wind screen so there are better stoves for the more mechanically inclined but it is very good for weekenders, kids and casual hikers."

"I've had one of these for years.  Its a bit bulky and heavy, but you can always find white gas even at service stations when needed. It has never let me down, it flares up a bit at the start but once the generator heats up it works like a charm. For someone who only gets into the backcountry a few times a year this is a good solution."

"I have two of these stoves and I have been very happy with them. I use the stoves primarily canoe camping and I occasionally use them backpacking. The heat output is great. From a roaring high to the lowest simmer the feather 400 adjusts easily and smoothly. Wind can be a problem if precautions aren't taken. Overall, the Feather 400 is a very reliable stove that is easy to use and durable."
