"I bought this pack for $179 dollars, and thought I got a great deal. On the very first trip I took it to Baxter State Park, for 4 days. The load wasn't too large (around 35 pounds). After the first day, the seam was starting to split on the extension (top extender). There was thread all over, and by the end of the four days, it had completely seperated. I took it back and bought, take a wild guess, a Gregory. Won't ever go back to a Lowe again."

"This was my first pack. I absolutely love it. I have had 80 pounds in that thing. I bought it on sale for $139. And has been worth every penny. Very comfortable hip and shoulder belts. It also got a very high rating in Backpacker magazine. It has 5500 cu inches. good durable backpack."

"I bought this pack for around
$175 a year ago, and I am convinced that it was a good buy.
Though Lowe Alpine is not considered the absolute best, I have heard nothing but solid reviews from people regarding their packs. The common theme is that they are reliable, tough, and easy to customize. I won't refute any of these things. It has taken a beating from me and it has withstood all of it.
My one complaint is the lack of extra compartments. They just added that on to their newer model, but I suppose I can always buy some attachments!"
