"We recently rented this tent for a family lake camping trip. With
two adults and two children, there was just enough room for some
extra gear inside. Although it seems well built, it has some
problems in my view. First and foremost, the hex-shaped floor is
very wasteful of the generous sounding square footage -- people
sleep as lines; not curves. Second, the doors cannot zip
completely open. The REI zippers worked OK, but once one did
jam, and it looked untrustworthy after that. One must be inside to
open the mosquito net if the door fabric is closed. Also, where the
door zipper meets the lower wall, the zipper stops short of a
complete closure because it joins the bottom zipper. Although a
rain flap may divert water away, I'm unsure if it would be an
effective barrier to wind-blown rain or persistant, numerous mo!
squitoes. While low-cost, 72" plus height and aluminum poles are
nice features, I would limit this tent to a four-person, car camping
tent."
