"I was looking for a bargain and well I got what I paid for. This tent is not cut out for anything backcountry. I was caught in a 12 hour rain storm and I swear everything that was in that tent was soaked including myself. The first drawback was the rainfly, it does not cover the whole tent so when it starts raining you are screwed. Even when it is dry outside you still get wet because of the lack of adequate ventilation. The whole thing fills up with condensation. In my opinion this tent should not go anywhere outside your backyard and even then I wouldn't let a dog sleep in it. All I can say is my next tent purchase will be done with more care."

"Followup to first review... I've had this tent since 1994 and have noticed the ventilation issue. However, when the tent was new I never had a problem in a rainstorm. The tent lost it's waterproofing after about 6 seasons of use after which it needed to be treated with spray. This is a cheap tent but is good for an amateur backpackpacker and is good for any northeast camping"
