"This pack has only one drawback: It is huge. I however have used this pack on some wicked rough trans-Canada trips and it has survived airports from Ottawa to Victoria, hitchiking in Ontario, countless canoe and camping trips as well as some ill planned moves with everything I own on my back. I've piled well over a hundred pounds into this pack and I've even carried my 65 lb squirming nephew in it. I only broke 1 buckle in all the years that I have owned this pack and LeBaron's in Ottawa replaced it without even seeing a receipt. I don't remember what I paid for it and that is a pretty good sign that it was a good deal.

"I've carried this pack in Europe and the US. It's size is exceptional for long trips of 7+ days. Drawback is that you will want to fill it up. Hiking the John Muir trail in CA with it was nice as I could carry everything internally without having it strapped all over me like my companions had to do. Zippers and stiching were excellent and held up well under stress. Waste belt and straps are comfortable and allowed me to flyfish with it on."
