"3 layer gortex, light weight, soft ball size stuff sackable, perfectly
designed, surprisingly rugged, good lookin', generously cut, velcro
AND elastic on the cuffs or would you rather rip velcro every time
you put it on or take it off, think about it: I love this jacket. Best of
all, no annoying net on the inside. Git one!!"

"The Thunderlite is not a new design to Marmot. It is basiclly a
longer version of their extremly popular Stormlite. There are a few
diffrences that stand out. The hood has an additional draw cord in
the back which helps snug the hood up around your head. Marmot
has yet to add this feature to their Stormlite (Hello, guys. Whats
the deal). Since the hood id designed to be worn over a climbing
helmet when a helmet is not being worn it helps to cut down on the
bulk. The pockets are made of nylon instead of mesh like the
Stormlite. It also has a draw cord that goes all the way around the
jacket at the waist and bottom. This does an excellent job of
keeping out the wind. They also put a patch in the butt to help with
abrasion. The 3-layer Gore-tex is not quite as comfortable as 2
layer but it does compress better and dry quicker. The Thunderlite
is a full featured and extremly light! (20 oz.!) all around jacket"

"I own a one-piece Thunderlight suit (no longer sold by Marmot) that I use for spring skiing. Great concept - drop the netting and save weight and make it much easier to pack. Completely waterproof and doesn't get nearly as warm inside as the heavier stuff (such as Alpinist line). Anyone considering a purchase should be aware that Marmot sizes are larger than other manufacturers' - if you're a usually medium, get a small, etc."
