"These boots are awesome! I took them on a week long trek
through a national forest in Kyushu, Japan. The trail meandered
through volcanic peaks and grassy meadows. No matter what the
conditions, my feet were warm, dry and comfortable. I didn't feel
like taking them off even after a day of ascending an extinct
volcano trail strewn with volcanic debris and boot gashing
boulders. These boots will hold up to any nuke."

"These boots never quite fit my foot. I had to wear moles skin down the sides of my feet because the plastic soles don't give. They started falling apart after only 30 miles. The store was eager to take them back, salesman said several people hade the same results that I had.
I'd Try Something Else!!!!"

"Recently bought last years model at a great close-out price ($50 us). Returned them as they caused great discomfort on my lower shins due to their stiffness and lack of padding at this interface. A friend is not bothered in this manner. Seemed to be a well-made boot, but, like most things, not suited for everyone."

"Wow, I'm shopping for some new boots, and see all these negative reviews for the Meridians. Good thing I seem to have gotten lucky a few years ago when I bought mine. They've been through a lot and have not given me one bit of trouble. I just hate the weight, so I'm thinking something lighter this time around."

"I purchased my GLobaline Meridian's for what I consider a song ($70) from a wholesaler who often deals in discontinued models. They were very well constructed and offer lots of support. The rubber began peeling off after just a couple of outings though, and sometimes the speedlace eyelets would snag on each other on narrow trails. They seem to leak a little too. All in all, they are very tough, but if I were in a wet state they would leak too much.I still have them and use them, but might opt out on replacing with same brand/model do to the rubber comming off at the sides."

"This much touted boot broke apart, both soles separating from the boot while hiking in rough wet weather. When calling Asolo Customer Service, I was told the Co. had new owners and they couldn't help me. They also stated that the boots were manufacturered in 1999, but I'd had them only about one year. Is there a manufacture date on these things? No more Asolo products for me. I believe they might make a few good products, but customer service did it for me. I want a company that backs their gear. Worst damn conversation I had in ages."

"Sure Wish I could Buy some more. Took these on a 20 day Backpacking Treck thru Colorado and was the only one out of 10 that didnt finnish with severe bleeding and injury. These things save your ancles, keep you dry, let you pund thru anything and have been the best boot i've ever bought. Need some more."
