"I have had this pack for about a year and I have to say that it is a great pack! It's very comfortable and the suspension is second to none. I can always recognize Dana packs coming down the trail b/c of their very comfortable shoulder straps. The hipbelt rides on your hips and takes almost all the weight off your shoulders. The stiching is great and has held perfectly in numerous 50-60 lbs. trips while scraping past objects. Try one out..you'll love it!"

"I think that anyone who has ever had a Dana will tell you that they make a backpack that is second to none. I have had this pack for three years. This is an extremely durable pack. I have put it through low cut trails, dense forests, small corridor caves and then the toughest of all tests...International travel airports. And it still looks and carries like it did when I first bought it. COmforatable, cool in the summer, and dry in the worst conditions. I suggest that you try one out. THe only draw back is the price tag."

"I've had my '04 Glacier for about a year now and have used it to haul 60lb loads up thru the Georgia AT sections and it is absolutely incredible. While it's happiest around 35-40lbs, it still stabilizes a 50-60lb load better than most packs that are actually designed for that weight. This thing is basically waterproof and it still appears new. As far as comfort: it doesn't get any better than Dana.

The cost of a Dana is high, no doubt, however with the recent merge with Marmot, you can snatch up Dana's on closeout for at least 50% MSRP right now. I got my glacier for $145 a year ago as a "last year's model". That's a steal for a pack like this.

All the Dana products are superb too. I also have a small 2200cu/i Dana Emerald City that I use as a daypack and to haul 40lbs of books around around a college campus. I even hauled my 38lbs 3 year old son out the 1000+ vertical feet of a deep river basin this past weekend with him standing inside the pack's main pocket and arms around my neck. No tears, stretching, nothing. Let me also recommend getting a Dana Wet Rib, awesome accessory and the single most useful piece of backpacking equipment I've ever owned. People often look at it strange at the beginning of a trip and are begging me to tell them where to get one by the end."
