PUR Customer Service Review

"In a word: GREAT. They exchanged my old Pioneer for a new Hiker, a better model, free of charge. If your looking for a new filter then PUR deserves your business."

"Just got off the phone with them. They are now owned my Katadyn. Basically, I was told I am out of luck. I asked for guidance on finding replacement filters for my PUR Pioneer and was told to consider buying a PUR HIKER. I said "no thank you. I'll buy a MSR mini works and Sweetwater pre-filter." Then I hung up. PUR and Katadyn... YOU suck! First you brought out a product, the Pioneer, that you quickly dropped support for (no filters). Then, you PUR sell off your backpacking line to Katadyn and neither of you offer ANY online info on the PUR outdoor products.

GREAT! PUR is down the tubes now. Katadyn never worked never worked very well!

"I had the same problem. I never had any complaints about my PUR Pioneer (aside from the minor pain of regularly replacing the filters). But, now that they are no longer manufactured, I would expect some product support from the new owners. When I called Katadyn, I was simply told I was out of luck. I'm very disappointed with their customer service and will buy an MSR filter rather than another PUR or Katadyn product."
