"Hilleberg, based in Sweden, makes high quality all-season tents that are better known in Europe than in North America. The Unna (which means "small" in Sami, a native Swedish language) is a one-person, double-walled tent that differs from other Hillebergs in two respects: it is a dome-style tent (most Hillebergs are tunnel tents) and it is the only current Hilleberg model without a vestibule. Like all Hillebergs, however, it has an exo-skeletal design, meaning the tent takes its shape from the outer tent, to which the inner is attached with clips. This allows storing and easy pitching with the two "walls" together, rather than first setting up the inner tent and then stretching a fly over it. Two poles are threaded through sleeves in the outer tent, then tightened with a strap next to the door.
This design allows you to create your own variations, such as detaching the clips in one corner to create a small vestibule for brewing coffee or storing wet boots, or detaching a clip at the peak of the canopy to improve ventilation. You can even detach the two tents entirely and pitch them separately. Very clever indeed!
The Unna weighs a bit over four pounds and packs down very small, but provides ample room for even a big camper and all his gear. My only complaint is that the outer no-see-um door is almost opague, giving me a choice between a view and letting the insects in.
