Reviews

Buddha Bear, 0/0/00 User Rating:
"The GoLite Hex2 is hexagonal pyramid shelter weighing about 3# (w/pole and ground cloth), and providing 77 sq.ft. of coverage.

It was very easy to pack and set-up. The first time I used it, I set it up at night, and it was easier with the refelctive tie-downs. There was some condesation problems, but I was camping in an area with no breeze. Even so, the condensation rolled down the fly, and didn't pose a problem as long as I did'nt rub the fabric.

It set up well with the pole and easily sleeps two with gear. I have also used it without the pole, and you then have a TON of room.

The tent is normally over $300, and worth it if you are into ultra-light camping."

"I've been using it for couple of years. Lightest I've found. Easy to substitute hiking pole for tent pole (have to still carry bottom section of pole only). Lots of room - especially head space - advantage over "bivy sack" style tents

Two negatives: in heavy rain, I've had zipper seam leak - inconvenient because it is directly over sleeping area. And, LOTS of condensation. Probably par for course with single wall tent."
