Jerry Harp, 0/0/00 User Rating:
"I have used this tent extensively while cycle touring and felt secure during heavy rain, hail, wind, and cold. I like the extensive use of mesh fabric for optimal ventilation, the quick, simple setup, small pack size, and minimal weight.

Interior space is adequate for the small-medium sized person. I've even stored two bike packs inside with no problem. Peak height of 42" is about max for solo tents.

The rain fly takes about a minute to put on and provides about 1.5 sq ft of vestibule space for shoes or small packs.

Frankly, I find nothing really negative about this tent. I have added a couple of stake points to the fly to make it tighter, so maybe that counts as a "con."

The Spitfire is probably the best buy out there when pack size, weight, space, peak height, and quality are balanced against price."
