Basically this stove is a cook stove that will burn anything combustable that isn't too wet. It burns much smaller quantities of wood then would normally be used for cooking over a log fire. In fact you can cook a whole meal with just a handful of smaller sticks. Properly operated it is very clean burning and scientfically tested as one of the cleanest burning wood cooking stoves in the world.
Needless to say because of it's efficiency and it's ultra-clean (smoke free) burn it is very environmentally friendly. Fuel is free and abundant. No bulky and costly propane cylinders to lug around and end up as trash. It's closest competitor is the zip stove, but people who have tried the Woogas Camp Stove like it's sturdier design, better control, little or no pot-blackening and very hot flame compared to the Zip/Sierra.
While the Woodgas Camp Stove weighs only 2 pounds and is bit bigger than the Zip stove some might be turned off by it's size for backbacking but it is still compact enough to be carried in a backback or slung on a pack by it's carry bag. Also because the Woodgas Stove Burns completely the opposite of most fires- from the top down, lighting and operating it may take some practice.
