"I know this stove is out of production. I run into them all the time though. So I figured why not, I have nothing to do.

I got a Coleman 502 stove with cook kit and heater back in 1969. I still have the stove. It has traveled the world. Run on Coleman fuel, unleaded gas and Mogas. It has been knocked off a tank the was hit in combat. The tank was useless bit the stove was still running when I found it. Dropped out of a Huey to the ground from 300ft and out the 3rd floor of a building. It has seen some abuse from 130F down to sub zero temperatures.

I have cooked with this stove for 60 guys, 3 meals a day for a month and have heated a GP medium tent with it. For the many tours overseas and all the hot cups of coffee and meals, Not to forget the heat it supplied in "Oh My God It Is Cold" weather. This stove has stood the test of time.

The original generator only lasted 12 years. I have sense replaced it once. The leather for the pump has been replaced 3 times. Once out of boot leather.

I have NEVER had a time I could not coax this stove into working.

If weight is not a factor and even if it is. The Coleman 502 is all it could be and then some. 35+ years and running strong. I have not used the 502 for the last 2 years. Today I took it out and it started right up. With the old Coleman fuel that was left in it.

Thank you Coleman for the many wonderful memories this stove has given me, and for the ones yet to come.

Don"
