Western Mountaineering General Review

"Western Mountaineering is, with Feathered Friends of Seattle, the top-of-the-line maker of down bags. I've used both and can't find major differences between the two in terms of quality, attention to detail, and performance. WM has distributors and sells online from stock, while FF builds each bag to order. Therefore FF is perhaps a little better for special bells and whistles (or desired features, like color), but with WM you don't have to wait a month and (at the dealers) can often find one at a significant discount. You can't go wrong with either. In my view it's worth the premium price for a bag that will last for years."
