"This dept. store quality sleeping bag is apparently exclusive to BIG 5 sporting goods stores and quality apperently approved by Wingroup. This sleeping bag has what 100% polyester for shell, fill and lining. The fill is Temp Core 4. Now upon receiving this bag I have exausted every effort to research HI-TEC, Diamond Peak, WinGroup, and TEMP CORE 4 and cannot find any leads anywhere on the internet wether it be MSN, Yahoo, or Google. The only thing that comes up with HI-TEC is their shoe products with no hint on any other outdoor products they make. I found that dissapointing and hoped I did not buy a bag sole purpose for marketing and bogus materials made to make the bag. I mean who has heard of TEMP CORE 4 . Although the bag had been bought for 40 bucks and for a price like that on a 0+ bag you get what you pay for. Anyways my review of the bag. My kids and I camped out in the snow at the foot of the Cascade Mnt Range on New Years Eve. The temp ranged from 28 to 32. It snowed/rained all evening and was chilly. My daughter\'s bag the zipper snagged but mostly because she is young and did\'nt properly zip it. All our bags kept us warm. We only dreaded getting out of them to do our business. I have been camping out all week with temp ranging from 35 to 40. Much warmer than what the Bag is rated for but I was comfortable and not once cold. My son\'s got a little wet at the feet but he claimed it was still keeping him warm. On the seventh day the stop on the drawstring cord that tightened the head space broke. I will replace it with a better one. I also purchased the much more popular North Face Snowshoe which is also rated at 0+ and $100.00 more.
Besides the much more sturdy consruction in the North Face I felt the same and noticed no difference in the two bags and the relative temp in the bag. Honestly the HI-TEC Diamond Peak was more comfortable to lye in. The only drawback I could see is it\'s cheaper construction. But for the price of 40 dollars vice 189 or even 500 I think you get a good buy. But If you are planning taking this bag on long trips bring some thread and a needle for minor repairs. It Seems to do the job in keeping me comfortable and warm. I would\'nt rate the HI-TEC high on being water resistant due to it\'s lack of Nylon that North Face has on it\'s bags. The HI-TEC has a covienent zipper pull inside the bag as well as outside. I wished the North face bag had that. The features equipped on this HI-TEC bag is about the same as the North Face Snowshoe, just more cheaply constructed.
