"Awesome boots. Comfort almost right out of the box. I use mine primarily for day hiking, but they would definitely stand up to longer hikes with a moderate load. The local trails I hike have multiple creek crossings and these boots live up to their "waterproof" label. Slog through a creek and you will step out with even the boot leather still dry. They seem to actually repel water. (As long as you are not deeper than the top of the gusset!) There is only 1 thing I can find that I would change. The gussett is not quite as high as I would like. It stops a little over an inch below the top of the boot. I would have preferred it at least half an inch higher. Over all, a very sturdy, very comfortable boot for well under $100."
