Palight Safe-light Review

"I started searching for a replacement for my 30 yr old Mini Mag.

What I was looking for was a light that had a 20+ hour run time. Put out enough light for me to cook a meal in total dark. Not cost over $20 US.

I have a Gerber Infinity and like it. I like the Safe-light just a bit more.

One 9V battery with a 100 hour run time on low and 20 hour on high. Stay glow that lasts over 6 months. The stay glow offers enough light, once I have adjusted my eyes to the dark, I can read by it.

The only draw backs I find are: The shape of it. It is not pocket friendly. The clip I would not depend on to hold it to my belt. It is not the brightes thought it offers usable light.

I carry the Gerber in my pocket but this is the light I grab first around the house and when camping.

This is the most cost effictive light I have ever seen. In over a year I have had no trouble with them. Dropped one in a pond and it stayed running.

For a pack light that you can use with confidence! This is one you should look at. For a home light it ranks better then my Gerber Infinity or my Mini Mag. For daily carry it is lacking.
