"Very nice lantern, although I wouldn't add the weight for backpacking. It works with my stove, which is convenient, and burns bright. A bit noisy when cranked, but not too bad. You gotta keep the hanging chain from getting inside the dome and damaging the mantle, you can take it off and keep it separate.

For me, just too heavy to pack but great for camping."

what is cool is thay are just like primus mantles and the globe is to. So you can head on down to your loacal wallmart for replacements.
You need a spark or flame source to fire it up OH WELL!!
100 W light with a hanging chain and acts as a good heater in a tent if you have good ventalation. The only draw back is it only uses
camping gaz fule tanks, so stock up if you plan a long out of the way trip. Other than that its a good deal."
