"I bought this pack a year ago and have used it in every season so far, and in Minnesota, winter backpacking requires a lot more gear. This pack has handled the heavy loads very well. Even with the heavy load, it is a comfortable pack and I like having all the extra space on the external frame for all my gear. I'm very impressed with the way it flexes as you move. The only downfall is, I'm a relatively big guy at 255lbs which has made a real problem with trying to find a pack that fits my around my shoulders comfortably. After using it once, the strap that connect the two shoulder straps (across your chest) broke under the pressure. But over all, I love this pack."

"This is an external frame pack with about 4700 cu.in. capacity. It has a light but strong plastic frame and the typical external pack features- top and bottom loading, divided main compartment, numerous outside pockets, top & bottom lash points, top lid/ flap with vertical straps, etc. It carries loads pretty well but over 50 pounds it will reach its limits- the hipbelt is not as sturdy as on a Kelty external pack. But considering its large capacity, good overall quality, adjustabilty (fits torso lengths 17-21 in.), good back ventilation and low price ($69 at REI and Campmor) it's worth a look. I would not recommend this pack for thru-hiking but it's fine for most 2 to 5 day trips."

"I got a lot a flack from my friends for buying this pack, they all use the expensive more well-known packs. I'm not saying it's the best pack out there but it's performs very well. very comfortable, pretty lite and durable. i especially like the slight flex that the plastic frame has. I'm a tall guy with a 23" torso and it fits me very well. I've been out with it about ten times and even my friends have been impressed. my only real complaint is that it has no front zipper so you can't get at some items as easy as you'd like. over all extremely happy."
