"Two words best describe the Motherload, BIG and Bulletproof. I have owned mine for 3 years, and always spend about 70 to 80 days in the field. The "load" has always served me well. The harness system is simple and very adjustable. I have never had sore shoulders or hips despite constant 90 pound loads. (The pack can do nothing for your legs, however.)
The stitching has yet to come unstitched anywhere, and a stiff brush and a little detergent are all it takes to make it look like new.
The only complaint I have about this pack is the lack of sufficient compression for small loads.
I guess that brings me to another complaint. This pack is so big and comfortable that I always seem to bring along the kitchen sink, even for overnighters."
