"I purchased this backpack (Rockies II 100 Tall) 2 years ago and used it ever since on every trip I went. I will not repeat what others have said about weight, quality and price, YES IT's TRUE. IT's what makes it so GREAT!!!
I take good care of my equipment BUT after 2 years i noticed inside a hip belt (which has a plastic (polyethilene?) core inside) a small crack on the plastic. It did not pay much attention to it at first but now i'm sending it back to Jansport for repair. Can't beat Lifetime Warranty!!! Also i think the plastic backing on the back has shifted a little downward because i have it sticking out inside the sleeping back compartment. It did not rip the fabric or anything but i can see and feel it underneath the fabric. I guess it happened after the first trip but did not bother me ever since.(i guess it sits better this way). Other than that the pack is very comfy even with 60+ loads. If u see it on sale (i've seen one for $90) -- grab it. Too bad they don't make it anymore and biggest Humbolt (newer Model) is only 88 Liters."

"I bought this pack on sale for around $120, although now they run a little cheaper. I've had it for 2 years now, and ive put about 100 trail miles on it, not to mention countless drunk college woods parties. If there is one outstanding aspect of this pack: it can take a beating. I/m only 5'7'' tall so the adjustable back is great even for my torso height. I just need the bigger, tougher pack. The pack is great, even tho its an internal frame, it has 5 outside pockets, so you have plenty of space for you everyday items and easy acess to emergency gear. The only thing that i have found that i dislike about the pack is that the hip belt and even the shoulder straps(tho not as much) are way over stuffed. but I love this pack and itll hike with me for a long time yet. highly recommended"

"REI had this in the tall size for les than $100. The best internal pack I have ever used. Has been on over 10 multi week treks, over past 6 years ( probably well into 1000 mile category), and starting to show a little wear in the belt attachment area. I added daisey chains on the lower back half for light weight items I need in a hurry or often (pack cover and rain gear, the pack's ability to fit the upper torso using the Jansport ladder system is a top feature. I have loaned to teen age scouts of various sizes and each have been able to get a good fit for loads up from 30-50 lbs. I highly recommend this pack for weight conscious, internal pack lovers that want ability to carry an internal water source and be able to pack heavy long items close to the center of your back for balance sake. Other than lack of daisey chains, the external pockets are smallish, and no side access to the main body are the design flaws I find with is top value pack."
