Description
If I had to choose one hike in the backcountry of Yellowstone this would be it. It's a grueling 16 miles but was worth it. You start off at Midway Geyser Basin. You hike past Grand Prismatic which is beautiful. There is a hill to the left of the trail and it has the best view of grand prismatic. There you follow the trail to Fairy falls which is also incredible. A mile past that is imperial geyser which erupts every four minutes. and then it is about 9 miles straight up into the backcountry. The trail is in rough condition, fallen trees litter the trail the whole hike. We reached campsite OD3 which is secluded right by a smaller waterfall. Next morning we hiked the remaining 5 miles to Mystic Waterfalls and then Hiked down to Biscuit Basin.

Directions to Hike
The trail is in Yellowstone national park, just north of Old Faithful lodge. Two cars would be best; one at each parking lot. The trail loops south from Midway to Biscut. The trail name is Fairy Falls Trl.
