Description
Easy former rail grade hike along the Shavers Fork of the Cheat River. Features stunning views and knockout fall vistas. The High Falls of the Cheat is about 4.5 miles from the southern end (Glady-Bemis) trail head.

Directions to Hike
From Elkins WVa take 33 east to alpina. Turn right at the Alpine Inn toward Glady. In Glady, turn right toward Bemis. About 1.5 miles from Glady at the top of the ridge is the trail head (be careful this one is hard to miss -- look for the old iron structure that looks like a baseball cage).
