Description
The northern loop starts at either Ipsut Creek Campground or Sunrise Visitor Center. The loop takes in Carbon Glacier, Mystic Lake, Berkeley Park, Yellowstone Cliffs, and numerous other beautiful areas. There are serious river canyons with drops and climbs of 2500 feet or more. Don't overestimate your hiking range in this terrain. Views of Mt. Rainier only show up occasionally on this hike.

Reservations required through the NPS, either by mail or at the entrance station when you arrive at the park. Camp in designated campsites along the trail.

Directions to Hike
Sunrise Visitor Center can be reached from Hwy 410. Ipsut Creek Campground is south of the town of Enumclaw on a local road.
