Description
A great Day or Overnight hike. Descending about 800' into a valley with water and streams, along and crossing the trail. Wildflowers are everywhere and the views are just great. At about 2.3 miles there is a vault toilet and a trail fork. Take the left fork and ascend about 900' up the fallen rock and switch backs until you crest just short of Lake Ann (4800'). Another couple of hundred feet the trail forks again. Another .7 miles to the left takes you to the base of White Salmon Glacier. The right fork takes you down to Lake Ann. Great views of Mt. Shuksan to the East and Mt. Baker to the West.

Directions to Hike
Highway 542 to Mt. Baker Ski Area. Turn right at the Ski Area Map. Go 1.7 Miles to Trail Head Parking lot on the left at Austin Pass (4700'). Trail Head is about 150' East of the parking lot. Fee area parking permit required.
