Description
This hike leisurely takes you through old growth forest to Boardman Lake. The lake is an almost perfect circle with large rock cliffs and slides at the far end. Favorite activities at the lake include picking the gigantic huckleberries found in abundance around the lake and watching the Hoary Marmots in the rock slides. This is a great day or overnight hike for families.

Directions to Hike
North of Seattle on
Interstate 5 to Exit 194. Highway 2 east to Route 9 north, then east on US 92 to the town of Granite Falls. At the end of town make a left on
Mountain Loop Highway and drive about 4 or 5 miles to Verlot Public Service Center. Maps can be obtained at the service center showing the trailhead only a few miles farther down the road.
