Description
Walking a short distance on the AT, you turn left onto the Mill Prong Trail. It passes through much wooded tract. It then descends to a small waterfall and crosses three streams leading to a road where Camp Hoover, a National Historic Landmark lays. This was one of the three hideaway camps for Hebert Hoover during his presidency. Many other historic cabins lay on the trail.

Directions to Hike
From Washington, D.C. (about 70 miles away), take I-66 west to US 340, then head south to park's Skyline Drive where the Ridge Visitor Center is located.
