Description
This trail is a moderate level hike but well worth the effort. The view from the summit is worth the effort to negotiate the trail. Additionaly, the primitive camping just shy of the summit allows the breathtaking views of the sun setting and rising over the mountains and the valley; only a short walk in the dark back to the camp sites.

Camp site location for mapping purposes is: 30.6108473N by 103.9255093W at 5648.3 Feet ASL.

Overlook location for mapping purposes is: 30.6070348N by 103.9212064W at 5724 Feet ASL.

Directions to Hike
Park office is at 30.59905N by 103.91963W, or about 2 miles west of the junction of HW 118 and US17, in Fort Davis TX. The trail head is just shy of the park office at, 30.6010402N by 103.9257633W at an elivation of 4934.7 Feet.
