Description
As the name implies it is a bird sanctuary with many trails mostly of the easy variety this does make it a good place to go trail running. Good birding can be done here as well as great X-crounrty skiing in the winter. I have hiked, run, biked (illegally) here for over twenty years and have always seen something new. It is a beautiful place that though not big has alot to offer.

Directions to Hike
Exit I 95 on RI state road 138follow this road into Newport then follow the signs to the "beaches" Pass the first or Easton's beach (heading east)and continue on to Second beach. About halfway down the beach there is a road heading north past a "Hanging Rock" follow this road to a T turn left the sanctuary is on the left about a mile or so up

Contact Information
Sorry, But the only thing I can say is that it is in the Providence Phonebook
