Description
The Minister Creek Trail is very beautiful. Its path winds along Minister Creek and is lced with millions of ferns in the summer. There is an abundance of wildlife to encounter, bears, deer, raccoons and skunks to name a few. The nice thing about Minister is you can hike off the trail, just follow the river, and likely get to your destination. Water is plentiful and in season, small brooke trout from the creek can make a good meal. On the west side of the trail there is a beautiful outcropping that allows a view for hundreds of miles. Leaving the outcropping just a few hundred feet to the east is a large rock, split in half, that hikers can walk \'through.\' Minister Creek is surely one of the most beautiful hikes and places in northwest Pa. Along Rt. 666, just before reaching the trail head, there is a unique general store and the Triple Fork dude ranch where horse-riding is available.

Directions to Hike
From Oil City, Pa., go to Tionetsa, then take Rt. 666 to trailhead.
