Description
Extremely difficult trail lots of steep inclines and decents. Abundent wild life including black bears and Timber rattle snakes. The views were spectacular, and the wild blueberries made for extra energy along the trail all you had to do was reach down and grab a hand full. Water was very abundent with 23 stream crossings on the lower section of the trail. Very primitive camping. Need to purify water.

Directions to Hike
From Pittsburgh take I-79 to I-80 to Lock Haven then take Route 414 to the village of Slate Run. Then take the Slate Run Forestry Rd. Trail head is in a pine plantation about 0.8 mile from Route 414.
