Description
The Chuck Keiper Trail is a rugged fifty mile loop trail which is divided into two smaller loops for the weekend hiker. The Eastern loop of about 20 miles and the Western loop of about 30 miles. The trail follows some of the most gorgeous valleys you will see anywhere. There are many steep climbs and descents so be prepared. This is probably the most rugged and remote trail you will find in Pennsylvania. The nearest help is Renovo and that is 10 miles away.

Directions to Hike
The trail is located just a few miles north of interstate 80. From interstate 80, take the Snowshoe exit. From Snowshoe, go approximately 22 miles north on route 144. The main trail head is on the left side of the road across from Swamp Branch road. Just look for the gorgeous vista on the left side of the road.
