Description
This hike is nice
because of it has
great views of the
Susquehanna River and
surrounding mountains
during most of the
hike. The trail
follows part of the
Appalacian trail
accending over 1000
feet to the crest of
Peters Mountain. There
are lots of rocks up
there. You'll continue
on the crest for
awhile until you come
to a blue blazed trail
that will take you
back down to the
Appalacian Trail where
you will continue back
down the way you came
up.

Directions to Hike
The trail starts at
the south end of the
Clarks Ferry Bridge on
US 322. You will find
the bridge on the map
near Duncanon. Exit
onto PA 147 and park
to your left right
after you get off the
exit. Walk across the
railroad tracks to the
Appalacian Trail sign.
You will enter the
trail there, using an
old stone wall as a
stairway to the trail.
