Description
Nearby City: Cammal, PA
Length: 8.9 total miles
Skill level: Strenuous
Trail type: Loop
Trail category: State Forest Trail
The Golden Eagle trial is a nice 3 hour walk in PA’s pine creek area. Depending on what direction you take, it may be gradual then difficult and gradual again. The other direction the way I went the first time, clockwise starting with the approximate. 1200ft climb first is preferable to me. There are sever breath taking vistas and traitorous parts of the path that are hard to traverse. All in all it’s a great hike for the mid range hiker and a good tough one for the beginner. Bring a camera and a lunch and enjoy your hike.

Directions to Hike
Locate off of the rails to trails path on 414 north of Jersey Shore, PA. There ae no blatent signs

The trail head is about 4 miles north of Cammal at the mouth of Bonnel Run.
