Description
This trail is the one I take out of towners to when they visit and want to do some camping/backpacking. The gorge that is eagelcreek has excellent waterfalls and very little elevation gain which is great for the out of towners. The trail has been cut into the side of a cliff and looks down onto the creek and across the narrow gorge. Very Dramatic! With great wildflowers and predator birds soaring overhead my guests are always extremely happy. Along the way to the great camping sites at 7.5 mile camp are high bridge which crosses high over the gorge and tunnel falls. It is what is sounds like. There is a tunnel bored behind a waterfall. The camping at 7.5 mile camp is next to the creek with large trees and huge ferns creating the typical NW idillic place.
15 miles round trip It is a do not miss trail if you are in the area.

Directions to Hike
Eastbound I-84, take exit # 41. There is no Westbound exit at Eagle Creek – exit at Bonneville Dam and backtrack on I-84 to exit # 41.
