Description
This trail vaires in length. It all depends on how much you feel like walking. For the most part it is a nice, fairly relaxing hike that requires the hiker to navigate just a few rock formations. Along the trail, you may see buffalo, longhorn, deer, and a variety of other native wildlife as well as many different species of floral. As stated, the main trail heads provides a map of the area and gives you a choice of 3 different trails to roam. Easy to follow, just follow the designated plaques for the trail that you want...

Directions to Hike
From Oklahoma City, take 1-44 towards Lawton, Oklahoma. Continue on I-44 until you reach the Medicine Park exit.Take the Medicine Park exit and continue into the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. At the Visitor Center, about 4 miles in, turn right and follow the road until you see the sign that directs you to turn towards the Park Headquarters. Then all you have to do is look for the sign that say French Lake Trailhead. Enjoy
