Description
Overall good hike. Tons of trees down from the winter storm in 2003 but all have been removed from the trail..(see the web site for info on the amount of work put into clearing the trail).
I did have to scramble over a large tree on the trail about .5 miles south of camp 4( this was a newly fallen tree....there was leaves still on the branches).
Also parts of the trail, particulary between camp 3 and camp 5, are overgrown with briars. Make sure you wear long pants and be ready to beat back the briars!

Directions to Hike
Go West from Portsmouth on SR 52 and then turn right at Shawnee Forest (SR125)Trailhead is on the left after Turkey Creek Lake.
