Description
Over six different routes up this 3,165' peak. Boston visible 70mi to the south, mount Washington 90mi to the north. The white dot trail starts from the state park headquaters is 2mi to the summit. Sections of steep exposed granite will lead you to the bald summit that Monadnock is famous for. The last 3/4 of the trail is above timberline on exposed rock. This hike is four miles and four hours round trip at the most. Rember that Nh state law prohibits dogs on Monadnock. The park is open year round for hiking and camping (in campground only) There is a $2.50 service charge for adults age 12 and over, kids 11 and under are free. Camping is $12.00 per night.

Directions to Hike
From Boston: Take route 3 north into Nashua NH, 101A west to Milford, 101 west to Peterborough, 202 south to Jaffrey, 124 west and follow thw state park signs. (2hrs)
