Description
The trail begins at the Hermit Lake Shelters and continues to the summit of Mount Washington. From the Base of the mountain, it is 4.1 miles to the summit. The trail is rough and above treeline for most of it's length. Be prepared for terrible weather, even in summer.

Directions to Hike
From North Conway, NH, take route 16 north to the Pinkham Notch visitor center. Be sure to check the weather report inside.
