Description
This hike starts from Beautiful Davidson River Campground, it starts as a fairly nice grade up hill then floows the slope the rest of the way. Great for running if your staying at the camground. There are a few small creeks nearby to use for filling up canteens(if ya have a pump). There is also another trail that goes up the mountain and connects to the ART LOEB TRAIL. YOu can always see der on this trail. This trails is good for Families to take a hike for a few hours. I'd rate it EASY!

Directions to Hike
From Brevard, NC take US-64 west to the Davidson river campground. Enter the campground and follow it until you come upon a parking lot with dumsters and pay phones. There is a trail sign that will say AMPLTHEATER. Follow that trail until you see signs for "NORTH SLOPE RIDGE" trail. And enjoy!
