Description
The trail starts near Purvis, Mississippi and continues past Janice Mississippi. It is forty miles, one way, eighty miles if you plan to walk back. It is not as beach-plenty as the US Forest Service would have you believe. Keep your eyes on the ground and watch for rattle-snakes.

Directions to Hike
From I-59, take exit 51 at Purvis, Mississippi. From there you will have to go West. The trailhead is off Brooklyn Road and there is a sign. Please consult Mapquest.com for directions, though, because a lot of the streets have numerous names.
