Beautifull! Stunning! -And magnificent views of the great lake superior, as one hikes the cliffs along its shore. Various waterfalls from inland creeks and small rivers run by the trail and gush into the lake. Many places to explore and gaze in awe at natures beauty along the 40 miles shore. Old logging camps, miner camps, and an retired coastguard lighthouse are amoung some of the manmade interests one may explore while blithed by nature in this park.
Beautiful trees, old and as ancient as the cliffs they grow from shade ones head above. Rocks gullied out by years of water rushing against them paint natural images that trump any famed artist. Waves crashing aginst the cliffs are lullabies and magical symphanies to the weary hiker at a days end. =all this and more are what the pictured rocks national lakeshore has to offer.

Directions to Hike
Trails at Pictured Rocks provide easy access to a large area of the Lake Superior shoreline between Munising and Grand Marais. In the UP of Michigan there is little roads and infrastructure of motor transportation. Look on any map and the Park is visible.
