Description
Hike is on an island in Michigan Lake. This is a good beginner and experienced hicker trail. It has interior woods and perimeter beaches. Terain is mostly level with some easy elevations. You can camp anywhere but opens fires are not permitted. Trail goes around the parimeter as well as through the interior. Map is definatley required as well as compas ready (familiar) especially on the interior. Island is only accessable by ferry (somewhat of a pain and cost).

Directions to Hike
North Manito Island is located off the the northwest coast of Michigan (lower part). It is accessable by farry only at Leland, Mi. Reservations is a must (ferry).
