Description
absolutely beautiful view up on cliffs in the porcupine mountains (though they are more like rolling hills). on one side is lake superior and on the other is the lake of the clouds, a .5 mile lake situated in a valley created by mountainous cliffs on three sides. the best time, i believe, to hike it is early morning or in the evening as to catch the sunrise or sunset over lake superior.

Directions to Hike
The park is located at the western edge of Michigan's
Upper Peninsula , along the south shore of Lake
Superior. The main entrance of the park is 16 miles west
of Ontonagon MI, (take M-64 to Silver City, from Silver
City follow M-107 three miles west to the park entrance).
The Presque Isle Unit entrance of the park is located
north of Wakefield MI, (follow M- 28 east out of
Wakefield, pick up County Road #519 just east of town
following it north 17 miles to the park).
