Description
North Manitou is a wonder place to go. I have been there 4 or 5 times and continue to want to go back. Hiking is good for beginner. It is relatively flat and accessible. The views are wonderful - sunset or sunrise. There are eagles, beavers, deer, many spcies of birds, racoons, and other animals.

It is one of my most favored places to go and relax.

Directions to Hike
Go to Leland MI in the North west part of the lower pennisula. You will need to catch the ferry there to get to the island.

Contact Information
See the National Parks web site for details. Also the Manitou Transit for ferry schedules.
