Description
A good day-hike close to Boston. More challenging than you would expect so close to the city. The trail travels the length of the reservation, and includes climbs up 5-6 hills, including a couple of scrambles up rockfaces. Trail termini are the Trailside museum on one end and Shea's Rink (with a short trek on a Green-dot loop trail) on the other end. Great views of Boston and the harbor from Great Blue, Buck Hill and Chickatawbut Hill. The reservation is only open dawn to dusk, so plan accordingly.

Directions to Hike
Rt 128 to Rt 138 to Blue Hill Ski area/Trailside Museum Parking Lot, or Rt 128 to Rt 37 to Shea's Rink in Quincy. Maps are available for a $1 at the Park HQ, which the trail passes.
