Description
Bowman Ridge Trail is very extreme but starts out easy. Major fallen tree damage from pine beetle attacks makes trail blazes difficult to find and sections of trail disappear. Very exciting hike! Major fun for experienced hikers with better than average mapping and compass skills. Topo map of region is Hail quad in Kentucky.

Other trails are much less difficult and loads of fun. Plenty of wildlife and hike along creek is top notch.

When I went I didn't see another person for 2 days. Trails see very little human usage.

Directions to Hike
From the North: Interstate 75 south to Parkway 80 West to US 27 south at Somerset. About 12 miles south on US 27, you'll see a green county marker sign. Access road is the second one on the left side. If you pass the Beaver Creek Wilderness Hunting office, you've gone too far.
