Description
First mile is terrible as you pass by campsites and a big empty field, but it gets better after that as you move through forested land. Sveral small stream crossings. Easy to do, with only one steep incline. Pretty bridge crossing over the Vermillion River at about the half way point. Loops back on itself.

Directions to Hike
Take 74 east from Champaign, about 20 miles, to Oakville, just west of Danville, and follow the signs for Kickapoo State
Park. The trail head is right next to the maintenance building. The trail splits off to the left and right at the start. Make sure you veer right, crossing the street to stay on the trail.
